Photographic Club meeting
BARTON Photographic and Digital Imaging Club will meet on Tuesday for it’s monthly competition, which will be judged by Peter Yeo.
Members are reminded the group will not be meeting on the following dates over the festive period: Tuesday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 29.

Boxing Day ramble
A BOXING day ramble will take place from Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre in Maltkiln Road, Barton-Upon-Humber.
Participants who want to work off their festive dinner are asked to meet outside the centre at 10.30am. It will be a seven-mile walk with a stop at a pub along the route.
The event is free of charge, but participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear, take drinks with them and make sure dogs are on a lead.

BARTON Photographic and Digital Imaging Club will be holding its next meeting on Tuesday, November 3.
All members are invited to show a five minute digital slideshow.

Auction contributions needed
CONTRIBUTIONS are being sought for a charity auction set to take place later this year.
Sallie Woodbridge is organising the charity event for the When You Wish Upon a Star charity.
The auction will take place on November 14 at the Haven Inn, Barrow.

Amber Exhibition
AN EXHIBITION of Baltic amber is being held at Waters’ Edge Visitors Centre, Barton-Upon-Humber, over the weekend of October 24 and 25.
The Wonder of Amber shows various stages of this fascinating resin.
Visitors will also have the opportunity to purchase brown and green amber jewellery from an extensive range made by a local craftworker.
Admission is free.
Telescope Workshop
KEEN stargazers can attend a telescope workshop at Far Ings Visitor Centre, in Barton-Upon-Humber.
The event will take place on Saturday, October 31 at the centre, on Far Ings Road, from 2pm until 6pm.
It will demonstrate the different types, alignments and reflectors in modern telescopes, to allow beginners to choose the right scope for them.
There will also be the chance to look at the evening sky through the centre’s own telescopes at the event.
The course is suitable for adults and older children and places are priced at £10 each, which includes hot drinks and refreshments.
Ranger Ramble
A RANGER ramble will take place from Water’s Edge Country Park and Visitor Centre on Saturday, October 10 from 10.30am.
The five-mile ramble is free of charge.
Participants are reminded to meet at reception by 10.30am and wear appropriate footwear and clothing.

Ranger Ramble
WALKERS can enjoy an autumnal jaunt through a local nature reserve next month.
The regular Ranger Ramble event, which includes a pub stop, will be held at the Water’s Edge Visitor Centre, Barton-Upon-Humber, on Saturday, October 10.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads. The walk is five miles long.
It is free to join in and walkers are reminded to wear appropriate footwear and bring drinks.
