Christmas Eve Carol Concert
AN ANNUAL Christmas Eve carol concert will be held in Winterton.
The annual concert, which attracts hundreds of people from the town, will be held in the Market Place.
Music will be provided by the Salvation Army Band, but all are welcome to join in the singing and hymn sheets will be provided.
All are invited to gather round the Christmas Tree from 6.30pm on Thursday.
Carols last about an hour and free festive refreshments will be provided at the Old School Hall, West Street, after the service.
Lydian Choir
THE Lydian Choir will perform a Christmas carol concert in Scunthorpe’s oldest church, St Lawrence’s on Sunday (Dec 19) at 7.30pm.
Admission is £5 and all proceeds go to The Lighthouse project for the homeless in Scunthorpe.
Photographic Club meeting
BARTON Photographic and Digital Imaging Club will meet on Tuesday for it’s monthly competition, which will be judged by Peter Yeo.
Members are reminded the group will not be meeting on the following dates over the festive period: Tuesday, December 22, and Tuesday, December 29.

Geology of Iceland
AN ILLUSTRATED talk on the geology of Iceland will take place next month.
The event has been organised by the North Lincolnshire Museum in Oswald Road, Scunthorpe.

Boxing Day ramble
A BOXING day ramble will take place from Waters’ Edge Visitor Centre in Maltkiln Road, Barton-Upon-Humber.
Participants who want to work off their festive dinner are asked to meet outside the centre at 10.30am. It will be a seven-mile walk with a stop at a pub along the route.
The event is free of charge, but participants are asked to wear appropriate footwear, take drinks with them and make sure dogs are on a lead.

Flowers, Arts and Crafts Festival
A FLOWERS, arts and crafts festival will be held at St Hybald’s Church in Hibaldstow from Friday (Dec 18) to Sunday (Dec 20), from noon to 4pm each day.
The event, held in the church and church hall, aims to boost church funds.
There is access for wheelchairs and light refreshments will be available.
On Sunday, there will also be a concert, from 7pm. Tickets cost £5 and include mulled wine and a mince pie.

Charity Ceilidh
A CHARITY ceilidh concert will take place at St Hugh’s Church hall on Saturday (Dec 19) in memory of a dear mum who passed away.
The traditional celebration will take place from 7.30pm to 11pm and proceeds raised on the night will be donated to Arthritis Care.
