Iron Fans Do
A CHARITY Christmas party has been organised for a Iron fans in a North Lincolnshire village.
The Winterton Iron supporters’ group will hold the third “bit of a do” at Winterton Rangers, West Street, on November 20.
Top local DJ Stephen Thompson has been booked to entertain guests, while local band The Scrapyard Dogs will also be performing.
A raffle will offer a top prize of a two-week holiday in Turkey plus lots more.
Quavers Choir
THE Quavers Choir will perform a Christmas carol concert at Scunthorpe’s Baptist Church in Ashby Road on December 11 from 2.30pm until 4pm.
The concert has been arranged by the Scunthorpe and District Seniors’ Forum and admission is £2 inclusive of light refreshments.

St Peter's Bazaar
A MAGICAL Christmas bazaar will take place at the Scotter Chapel schoolroom later this month.
The St Peter’s annual event will be held on Saturday, November 28.
There will be a wide selection of stalls ranging from flower arranging to cakes, tombola, a raffle and refreshments.
For children there will also be stalls with books and toys.
The event starts at 10am and finishes at noon. Admission is free, and all money made will go to the church funds.
Wildlife Trust talks
MEETINGS of the Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust, Scunthorpe and Brigg area group, are held in St Hugh’s Church Hall in Ashby Road, Scunthorpe, on the second Thursday of the month from 7.30pm.
Sixty Years Of The Trust, with David Robinson, is the subject for the talk on Thursday, November 12.
On Thursday, December 10, Mary Hollingworth’s subject will be Totally Tobago.
New members are always welcome.

Stephen King novel adapted for stage
From the 17th to 21st November local drama club, Group 62, will be at the Plowright Theatre performing an adaptation of Stephen King's 'Misery'. A bestselling novel by "the king of horror", which was originally published in 1987. This two-hander will be performed by Mick and Eleanor McNeill.

Local musician, Paul Brayford has launched himself on itunes. Paul, who was keyboard player with 1989 Rock Open winners The Lie Factory has recorded four albums including his greatest hits which represent the best of his solo career. Sixty seven songs in total are available for download today
21 years of providing support to disabled individuals
Celebrating 21 years of enabling individuals with disabilities to live in their own homes, Penderels Trust remains at the forefront of providing advice and guidance on all aspects of independent living. This charitable organisation has grown from 5 staff supporting a number of disabled individuals in Coventry to a nationwide company that employs 145 people in 18 local authorities. Penderels Trust now supports 7,500 people and continues to expand and develop in line with the changing face of social care provision.

After entering national writing competitions and local shows Kate Ellis, Eastoft has had some great news this month. She won The Trowell Trust Open Poetry Competition a few weeks ago and this weekend her prize winning jams and curds go on sale at Parkin Butchers at Epworth and Crowle under the label Hawthorn Cottage Preserves.
Kate will be at Crowle on Saturday 31st 9.30-12.30 providing a few tasters.
