William Barcroft Summer Fayre, We need your help!

date:
07/01/2009

William Barcroft Junior School in Cleethorpes will be holding their Annual Summer Fayre on Tuesday the 14th of July between 13.15 and 15.15. The event is always great fun for everyone and the children have a fantastic time.
This year we are really struggling to get raffle prizes. The school have written to several businesses but with the exception of a few major supermarkets nothing has been forthcoming.
The raffle is always very popular and it generates a lot of much needed funding for the school.

RNLI SHOP NEEDS YOUR HELP

Everyone knows about and respects the bravery of our lifeboat crew, those that give their time for free to save lives at sea.

They are not the only ones that give their time for free. The RNLI also have a willing band of volunteers without whom we could not operate our shops and raise valuable funds to help make the lifesaving work of the organisation possible. In our shops we call we call this “LIFESAVING SHOPPING.”

Louth Conservation Conversation?

date:
06/23/2009

It's official: Louth's Conservation Area is "under threat". English Heritage, the nation's guardians of our built environment, have decreed in their latest report that Louth is one town at risk of damage and degradation.
This will naturally dismay those whose cry is "Bring the town into the 21st century", but it is welcome news to the Louth Heritage Group, who have for years advocated the greater appreciation of, and preservation of, Louth's distinctive architectural charms.
