On Friday 16 July, Flight Sergeant Royce Coates of 195 (Grimsby) Squdron Air Training Corps, travelled up to Edinburgh for a very special award ceremony. He was invited to Hollyrood House Royal Residence, to receive his Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award. HRH Prince Philip himself actually presented the award to Flight Sergeant Coates.
Grimsby Air Cadet is a Leader at RAF College Cranwell
Sergeant Stephen Parry applied to the greatly over subscribed Air Cadet Leadership Course and was delighted to receive an invitation to take part in the annual ACLC held at Royal Air Force College Cranwell. It is difficult to obtain a place with only 160 cadets from the whole country being chosen to attend 1 of 4 courses held over four weeks in July. In the weeks leading up to the course Stephen admits he was worried that he wouldn’t be fit enough, but he was determined to make the grade.
Kids entertainer is brilliant!!
I would like to nominate Andy Carr of Andytainment for service with a smile! He entertained just shy of 30 children at my sons 5th Birthday party and did a brilliant job. His enthusiasm is fantastic and i especially loved the toilet roll game as did my son who is not always confident enough to join in. Great Job Andy!!
BEWARE
Last night an email came into my box, from HSBC banking, with regard to a discrepancy on my account.
Thankfully I do not bank with HSBC.
But I have drawn the conclusion that someone is either hacking in to email addresses, or some unscruitable person is selling them.
I am not easily conned but some are so BEWARE.
