Local professional Musician returns home to Grimsby Auditorium

As a young lad growing up in Grimsby during the 1970's, my early musical aspirations were forged by all the wonderful bands that were around town at the time. Does anyone remember the Brothers band? are any of them still around now i often wonder? what became of those wonderful musicians like Steve Newby and Mick Mortimer, Alex Bontoft et al? One thing is certain, they instilled in me something that would never go away, and they never even knew about it!

Suffice to say, my early musical dreams subsided as I grew up and became involved with the day to day reality of building a career and I settled in to raise a clutch of kids.
However, ten years ago I took the decision to abandon my lucrative but un-fulfilling job in the NHS to finally pursue my childhood dream of being a professional Musician.

Since then I have travelled the world with my music and am lucky enought to have held down a job for 5 years now with the country's leading Blues Brothers show JAKE AND ELWOOD, THE BEST BLUES BROTHERS SHOW IN THE WORLD..EVER!. I have had the chance to work alongside Gary Moore, The Blockheads, Wilko Johnson (Dr. Feelgood), Deep Purple and this year we are doing a summer season with Cannon and Ball!

The show keeps going from strength to strength and as each year passes It evolves even more. The show for 2010 is all new and starkly different to last years performance at the Auditorium. We now have the superbly talented Buzz d'angelo appearing as James Brown, Kurt White stuns the audience with his uncanny tribute to Ray Charles, and the beautifull Charvelles also dish up some sweet soul music too.. With a cast of 13 not including the hard working crew, Its one heck of a show.

I would just like to say that i am proud to be coming home to grimsby to perform once more to my fellow Grimsbarians and if anyone out there remembers me from the class of 76 please come along, I would love to see as many of my old friends as possible,,,
The show is on Saturday the 20th of March, and I cant wait!!
